Implementation Framework of Evidence Needs Statement

The Implementation Framework is a publicly accessible resource storing information on the various blue carbon activities carried out in the UK. Following completion of the Evidence Needs Statement, the UKBCEP acknowledged the large amount of work being undertaken across a range of groups and bodies in the blue carbon space, with expertise that can help progress the objectives outlined in the ENS and connect the wider blue carbon community.

We are requesting researchers in the blue carbon topic area use the online submission form to add details of their relevant activities and projects (completed or in progress) to compile a detailed database of blue carbon research activities in the UK. The interactive dashboards under the five key themes can be used by researchers to view submitted projects by objectives, location, and habitat.

The Framework will help the UKBCEP and the blue carbon community develop an understanding of the evolving evidence base, to recognise where activities being carried out contributes to filling identified evidence gaps and where new research is required.
